Ed is a Certified Public Accountant and an Attorney with expertise in closely-held family businesses, high net worth individuals, and corporate tax. He has over thirty years of experience in providing tax-related services and has extensive corporate tax expertise, both at the federal and state levels, including the unique aspects of contractor taxation.  Ed is also highly skilled in the areas of personal income tax and estate tax planning.

Mr. Townsend is a frequent speaker at numerous construction associations and is the author of the tax section of The New Jersey Construction Law Practice Guide.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.  He is a member of many construction associations including the Construction Financial Management Association.

Throughout his career, Ed has been active in the community and he was past Chairman and Treasurer of The Chilton Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees.  Additionally, he has served as the Finance Chairman for the North Jersey Better Business Bureau and has held various leadership positions for local community and various high school groups.
