Joseph P. Pirrello, CPA

Joe is a Certified Public Accountant and an Attorney with over twenty years of tax and accounting experience.  He specializes in consulting and tax planning for closely-held businesses and owners.  Joe has advised clients in such areas as the structuring of business organizations, the purchase or sale of a business, corporate and partnership taxation, retirement plan establishment and taxation of U.S. residents working abroad.

Mr. Pirrello has an extensive background in individual taxation and in estate planning techniques geared to preserve family wealth.  He has represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service and State taxing authorities.  Joe has lectured on various tax and accounting topics before such groups as the National Society of Financial Planners and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Pirrello has been a professor in the Accounting and Taxation Department of William Paterson University and is a frequent guest lecturer on real estate taxation topics at New York University.  Joe received a Juris Doctorate (JD) from Seton Hall University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science (BS) from the University of Rhode Island.  He is a member of the Tax Division of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey State Bar Association.  Joe is a Director and active member of various charitable organizations formed to protect the health and welfare of children.
