Philip J. London is a Tax Partner in the New York City office of Freeman & Davis, a division of WISS & Company, LLP. Philip has a special expertise in federal, state and local business incentive tax credits. He is one of the leading authorities on New York State Empire Zone Benefits and Economic Development issues, including Federal Empowerment Zone and Renewal Community Issues and is a frequent speaker on Empire Zone Benefits, mergers and acquisitions, and other tax topics. Philip has been interviewed for articles in The Wall Street Journal, Crain's New York Business and Inc. Magazine, in addition to appearing on Cablevision's News 12 Westchester to discuss Empire Zone opportunities.

Mr. London also engages in estate and income tax planning for high net worth individuals, including the use of various types of trusts to maximize overall family wealth. Additionally, Philip consults with clients on the structuring of prenuptial and divorce agreements, tax planning for real estate transactions, tax-free exchanges and business transactions dealing with sales, acquisitions and reorganizations. He has also published articles on individual and corporate taxation.

Philip is a member of the AICPA Tax Section and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, serving on the New York, Multistate and Local Taxation Committee. He has also represented the CPA profession through the CPA Ambassador Program sponsored by the AICPA and New York State Society of CPAs. He holds an MBA in Taxation from St. John's University.
