Michael La Motta, CPA

Michael has more than twenty years of diversified tax experience. He has helped structure business organizations, mergers and acquisitions, redemptions, liquidations, consolidations, employee benefits, international planning and corporate and personal income taxation.  In addition to federal taxation, Mr. La Motta has broad experience with state and local income taxes, state sales and use taxes and property taxes.

He has lectured before professional organizations and business groups on various tax topics and is regularly quoted in business publications. Michael is a graduate of the University of Delaware, with a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Seton Hall University. As a member of the Tax Division of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Mr. La Motta serves on the Trust, Estate and Gift Tax Committee, as well as the S Corporation Tax Committee.

A member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, Michael served on both the Federal Taxation and Cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service Committees.  He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Montgomery Academy, a private nonprofit school located on the Mendham/Peapack-Gladstone border.
