David J. Gannon, CPA, PSA, RMA

David Gannon is a Partner in WISS & Company’s Public Sector Practice.  David has more than eleven years experience serving public sector entities.  Prior to joining WISS, David worked as an Audit Manager at Ernst & Young for approximately four years, specializing in serving large, complex public sector entities.  In addition to performing financial audits, he also has performed numerous single audits in accordance with the Single Audit Act and OMB Circular A-133.

Representative examples of David’s significant professional experience in the public sector include:

Colleges, counties and other public sector clients served: Kean University, Suffolk County, including Suffolk County Community College; the New Jersey Economic Development Authority; New York City Economic Development Corporation; New York City Housing Development Corporation; New York City Industrial Development Agency; New York City Department of Education; and, the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation.

School district engagements: City of Newark; City of Trenton; City of Orange Township; City of Asbury Park; Township of Cherry Hill; Township of East Brunswick; Township of Neptune; Township of Manchester; Township of Piscataway; Township of Old Bridge; West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District; and, the Middlesex Regional Educational Services Commission.

Local authority engagements: Middlesex County Utilities Authority; City of Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority; Essex County Improvement Authority; Township of Ocean Sewerage Authority; Two Rivers Water Reclamation Authority; Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority; and, City of Long Branch Sewerage Authority.

David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.  He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Registered Municipal Accountant, and a licensed Public School Accountant in New Jersey.  David is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Registered Municipal Accountants Association.
