Penelope is passionate about volunteering and works with many organizations. She has just completed a 52-week journey in which she volunteered with a different charity each week for 52 weeks. Some of the highlights of her journey included building wells in El Salvador for villages with no access to clean water, feeding the homeless in Jersey City, New Jersey and NYC, performing trail maintenance at the South Orange Reservation, working with drug-addicted and disaffected young adults in West Virginia, and working on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Montana. Penelope lives in Morristown with her husband Dean and enjoys hiking, camping, wilderness training, and reading. She is also an avid “virtual” race runner, participating in events around the world, including a 500-mile, 6-month race to support Parkinson’s Disease Research. And last, but definitely not least, Penelope loves spending time with her grandson. You can often find them at the Turtle Back Zoo.
