WISS U provides high-level training designed to enhance technical skills, advance proficiency in the use of technology, and fine tune soft skills in client service and professional networking.

Extra-Curricular Activities

In the spirit of campus-life and collaboration, WISS U offers activities that focus on team building and community involvement. These "extra-curricular” activities include:

The WISS Women’s Leadership Forum serves both as an internal training platform dedicated to exploring the unique challenges faced by women in business, as well as a Forum to establish reciprocal relationships among female professionals both inside and outside the firm.

WISS Philanthropic Committee is charged with getting you out of the office, leaving your laptops behind, and encouraging participation in the community in which you work.  By offering active participation, we encourage our people to continue the pursuit of worthy endeavors beyond their work life.

The WISS “Phun” Committee, serves to lighten the mood at the office (especially during busy season when accounting firm staff are really “taxed”) and encourage camaraderie. Fun events run the gamut, from extreme dress-down days (Hawaiian shirts, silly hats, sports jerseys, etc.) to ice cream socials. Other traditional events include a Night at the Races and Summer Picnic.

Employee Recognition

The Peak Performers Program is designed to recognize and reward employees who “think outside the box.” A Peak Performer is identified by actions that reach beyond a superior work product to acts that demonstrate a sincere desire to improve the work environment, while adhering to WISS core values of execution, commitment, energy, teamwork, and integrity. Examples include superior client service, new business generation, exceptional staff mentoring, firm operational enhancement or creativity in increasing staff morale. Peak Performers are rewarded with points that can be exchanged for merchandise from the WISS U Bookstore.

The Bookstore

The WISS U Bookstore is stocked with all sorts of collegiate-type gear.   While serving as a component of recognition for our Peak Performers Program, it also fuels the WISS Phun Committee.  Each time product is purchased from the bookstore, the purchase price is matched by WISS, with the funds set aside to run the activities of the Phun Committee.
