Livingston – WISS & Company, LLP is one of 32 firms nationwide honored this month by Practical Accountant magazine with its 2008 Practice Innovation Awards.

The awards program, now in its ninth year, honors public accounting firms that take the lead in developing a new service area, improving services to their clients, or promoting efficiency in the practice of public accounting.

“Practical Accountant is proud to recognize the accomplishments of these 32 firms,” Editor-in-Chief Howard Wolosky wrote. “What makes these firms so distinctive is that many of their innovations become best practices for other firms.”

WISS was recognized for their unique work/life balance program, WISS University, whose objective is to brand various work/life balance initiatives as well as provide opportunities for the people at WISS to evolve professionally. The winning firms were profiled in the magazine’s September 2008.
