Michael La Motta, Partner, Elected to Montgomery Academy Board

Michael L. La Motta, Partner-in-Charge, Tax Services, at WISS & Company, a regional accounting and consulting firm, has been elected to the Board of Trustees of Montgomery Academy, a private nonprofit school located on the Mendham / Peapack-Gladstone border.

Mike has more than twenty years of diversified tax experience, including structuring business organizations, mergers and acquisitions, redemptions, liquidations, consolidations, employee benefits, international planning and corporate and personal income taxation. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware, with an M.S. in Taxation from Seton Hall University and is a frequent lecturer before professional organizations and business groups on various tax topics. Mike resides with his family in Raritan Township.

Anthony Manger. “His experience as a CPA and as a specialist in tax matters, along with his general business and financial savvy, will be invaluable to us. I know that Mike will prove to be an important asset to this wonderful school.”

Montgomery Academy is a private, nonprofit, state-approved school serving students,
ages 5 to 21, who face social, emotional and educational challenges which cannot effectively be met by their local public school districts. Students from dozens of school districts throughout northern and central New Jersey comprise Montgomery’s student population. Montgomery emphasizes a warm, caring and nurturing --- yet educationally challenging --- environment. In this environment, Montgomery’s students, many of whom have struggled to achieve educational success, typically thrive.
